As part of our sustainability goals to certify Wendler products and production sites according to the GOTS standard, we have successfully obtained the GOTS certification for Wendler India. Certifications at other Wendler locations will follow.
What is GOTS?
“The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.” (Source, GOTS official website) Only products with at least 70% organically produced natural fibres can be certified according to GOTS. These include regulating the use of chemical additives, defining regulations for water and energy consumption in factories and checking compliance with minimum social requirements.
