Strengthening German-Bangladesh Relations

The CEO of Wendler Interlining Group / Wendler Inside, Mr. Frank Sailer, recently met with the German ambassador in Bangladesh, Mr. Achim Tröster.

Wendler Interlining Group is a leading global producer of interlining and tapes for shirts and blouses, specializing in technical textiles since 1843 with its origins in southern Germany. With a worldwide network, the company is known for its exceptional reliability. During the meeting, they discussed Wendler's current investment in Bangladesh.

Wendler stands out as one of the few German companies making foreign direct investment in Bangladesh. The company is in the process of establishing a LEED-certified green factory in Gazipur, with its Bangladesh office located in Gulshan. As a company with German ownership and roots, Wendler Inside is dedicated to forward-looking strategies and conducts business with enthusiasm and speed.

Furthermore, they discussed the general investment conditions in Bangladesh. According to their discussions, while Bangladesh has made progress in many areas related to foreign direct investment, further improvements are needed, particularly in infrastructure, political stability, investment-friendly policies, security, corruption-free systems, and technological advancement.

Despite these challenges, Wendler has been operating in Bangladesh for many years and is committed to continuing its support and service for Bangladesh’s RMG sector, which holds significant potential.
