Wendler Interlining Group Builds Sustainable Factory in Bangladesh
Wendler Interlining Bangladesh Ltd., part of Germany’s Wendler Interlining Group, makes a significant investment in the country’s garment industry by building a LEED Gold Certified factory in Mymensingh, set to be operational in 2025. This eco-friendly factory reflects Wendler's commitment to sustainability, aiming to reduce its carbon footprint, e.g. by using solar energy and installing waste-saving measures.
In an interview with Textile Today CEO Frank Sailer highlights the factory’s sustainable design, which aligns with Wendler’s broader goals of ethical production and environmental responsibility. The factory will follow strict international standards, including reduced chemical usage, energy conservation, and ethical labour practices. These efforts are part of Wendler’s global strategy to provide sustainable and innovative interlining solutions to major fashion brands like Hugo Boss and C&A.
Beyond environmental benefits, the factory supports Wendler’s mission of ensuring high-quality garment production in Bangladesh. By focusing on ethical sourcing and maintaining transparency throughout its supply chain, Wendler aims to strengthen its partnerships with local manufacturers and contribute to Bangladesh's growth as a global garment hub.
