Assistant Maintenance Manager (m/f), Vietnam

Wendler Interlining Vietnam is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager to manage and support the Maintenance team and contribute to the Maintenance Department’s performance improvement through the deployment of maintenance strategies, reliability enhancement initiatives, the application of maintenance best practices, and the continuous improvement of technical standards.

The role is responsible for ensuring the effective application of engineering best practices to improve machine and equipment availability, reliability, team efficiency, and overall SMQDC (Safety, Machine, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) performance. In addition, the Assistant Maintenance Manager will develop technical capabilities within the team, support maintenance excellence initiatives, and provide technical guidance across maintenance functions to ensure sustainable improvements in plant performance.

YOUR MAIN TASKS

1. On-site service provision and maintenance of machines and infrastructure

  • Preventive maintenance
  • Machine breakdowns are kept to a minimum
  • Continuous and accurate recording of maintenance
  • Follow the manufacturer’s specifications for all machines and equipment
  • Preventing partner’s activities from affecting production
  • Prevent infrastructure from affecting company operations

2. Spare parts management

  • Maintain control and monitor spare parts management
  • Keep a complete and up-to-date widget inventory
  • Management of contractors and suppliers of equipment and infrastructure

3. Make sure all employees understand and follow company policies & procedures

4. Energy cost control

  • Lead to control energy cost meet to targets

5. Team leader

  • Efficient teamwork and cooperation with Production Team
  • Evaluate staff training needs and ensure training is conducted
  • Record group time and attendance
  • Annual performance evaluation of employees
  • Promoting rewards and discipline for the team
  • Create motivation for the team to promote their abilities

6. Prepare audit documents of Maintenance Dept related to quality, environment audits

7. Ensure safety, 5S, housekeeping of maintenance Dept as standards and regulations of the company

YOUR PROFILE

Experience

  • At least 4 years of work experience in a similar role in manufacturing industry

  • Experience in the textile or apparel industry is advantage

  • Technical textile background

  • Team management experience

Skills

  • Good communication skills and leadership

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Languages

  • Fluent English

  • Additional languages are an advantage
